2. Install it
$ su
# rpm -Uvh nux-dextop-release*
3. Try to install MPlayer
# yum install mplayer mplayer-common mplayer-doc mplayer-gui mplayer-tools smplayer
If you will like only mplayer-gui, but not smplayer, you should like "MPlayer Skins" too. Here is a solution how to install this package:
1. Download and install RepoForge repository:
http://repoforge.org/use/
If you are using SL, SLC you can install RepoForge repository easily:
# yum install rpmforge-release yum-conf-rpmforge
2. Install MPlayer Skins:
# yum install mplayer-skins
3. You can remove smplayer if you want:
# yum remove smplayer
