XChat: Configuring SASL

If you got one or more of these errors, then you need activate SASL for XChat.

* #centos #centos-unregistered :Forwarding to another channel
* #fedora #fedora-unregistered :Forwarding to another channel
* #rhel :Cannot join channel (+r) - you need to be identified with services

1. Open this webpage: http://freenode-dev.net/sasl/sasl-xchat.shtml

2. Read the text "Alternative Configuration for SASL"

3. Download the script: sasl-lite-xchat.pl

4. Copy the script into the directory from which XChat loads startup scripts. Default location: ~/.xchat2

5. Open the script, and change EDIT in  
my $sasl_user = "EDIT"; to be your registered nick. 

Then change EDIT in 
my $sasl_password = "EDIT"; to be your NickServ password.
